What is App Payments?

App Payments is a simple tool for figuring out how much money each of your apps is making every month. It is the only way to get a 100% accurate picture of how much money an individual iOS or Mac app is bringing in. Apple’s monthly reports only show you a lump sum payment for all of your apps. App Payments takes that information and breaks it up by app.

Who is App Payments for?

  • People who need to know, down to the cent, exactly how much money each app is making per month.
  • People who have revenue sharing agreements with other business partners.
  • People who are selling a lot of different apps and would like to know which apps are making the most money per month.
  • People who want a much cheaper way to keep track of individual app revenue each month. App Payments is a one-time $9.99 with no subscription required.

Who is App Payments not for?

  • People who are only selling one app on the App Store.
  • People offering free apps.
  • People who have no need to see monthly sales data by app.
  • People who need to see longterm stats on app downloads. Go use AppFigures for that. It’s pretty good!

App Payments is the tool of choice when Apple deposits money into your account and you don’t know how much to pay each member of your team. It has a revenue sharing feature that allows you to enter the names of your business partners along with a percentage of revenue for a specific app. Just minutes after the deposit is made, you will know exactly how much to pay each member of your team.

How to use App Payments:

  1. Login to your iTunesConnect account and go to Payments and Financial Reports.
  2. Go to the Earnings tab, and download all of the reports for the most recent month.
  3. Import the reports into App Payments.
  4. Use our exchange rate data or get your own from iTunesConnect for better accuracy.
  5. If you have business partners, enter their names and revenue percentages.
  6. Pay your team.

For the moment, that’s what App Payments does best. This first release of App Payments is testing the water to see if there is a need. If you really enjoy this product, and there is a feature you would like to see, please send an email to the lead developer.
